Definition "Basic British Columbia company incorporation"

basic British Columbia company incorporation is:

QUICK - You can be incorporated in a day, although three days to a week would be more usual.

SIMPLE - The usual steps are:

    1. You telephone me at 604-730-9345 for a short no-obligation discussion.
    2. You deliver to my office a bank draft made payable to "Michael J. MacLeod Law Corporation" in the amount of $1,095.00. (Other arrangements are also possible.)
    3. I email you an incorporation questionnaire, which you complete and return.
    4. I apply for your corporate name and prepare documents in the approved name.
    5. At my office (allow at least an hour):
      • you sign incorporation documents;
      • the company is incorporated online;
      • you sign post-incorporation documents;
      • you receive my reporting letter, invoice, and company record book.
    6. Now the company is ready to start carrying on business. Your first steps will likely be to open its bank account, deposit the cheque or cash you paid for your shares, and apply for a municipal business licence.
    7. Within a few days, you receive by mail from the corporate registry a certificate of incorporation and certified incorporation documents, for insertion in your corporate record book.  The covering letter gives you the company's federal business number.

INEXPENSIVE - My charge for this basic British Columbia company incorporation is $1,095 (subject to change in disbursements or taxes), made up of a flat feedisbursements, and taxes. (If work outside the scope of the basic British Columbia company incorporation is required, it will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.  Such additional work most frequently involves only a minor expense, such as for a second name reservation application.)

PROPER - Self-incorporating a British Columbia company is possible, and there are self-help books available to help you, but if  prompt incorporation, compliance with the law, avoidance of problems, establishing a relationship with a business lawyer, or saving your time are among your priorities, incorporating with the help of a qualified B.C. lawyer makes sense.

To start incorporating your B.C. company now, telephone Michael MacLeod at 604-730-9345.
